My Top 10 Favorite Movies Of All Time

My Top 10 Favorite Movies Of All Time

10. Legend
I don't always like Tom Cruise but when I do it's in Legend. This movie is just pure fantasy. Like an RPG come to life. The set designs were absolutely phenomenal and Tim Curry is arguably in one of his best roles here as the villainous Darkness.

9. Sex and the City
I think I have watched this movie at least 20 times. It just never gets old. I could watch it once a week and never get bored of it. The concept of the Sex and the City series is everything I care about. Finding true love some day. Or as Carrie Bradshaw put it, "Ridiculous, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other-love". The movie is like an episode of SATC on steroids. The acting is just, well...fabulous. The moment Charlotte screams at Big sends chills down my spine every time. I always dream of having such a close knit group of friends as these four girl. Which is why I have been inspired to move to New York City. Bottoms up for a Cosmopolitan!

8. The Vow
This is one of my favorite romance movie mainly because it features an artist who loses her memory. This a great fear of mine...to forget that I had someone who loved me or to forget what talents I may have.

7. Robocop
Robocop is one of the most graphic movies I have ever seen. The moment where the droid malfunctions and kills the man even after he complies by getting rid of the gun is so shocking and wild. But the movie doesn't let up there. Murphy gets his hand completely shot off and we watch as the criminals torture him and shoot him over and over again. And for a final shocker, acid is poured onto this man and we see his mutated self try and grab someone pleading "Help me". All in all this is a dystopian masterpiece and you must agree. "You have 20 seconds to comply".

6. Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2
A storytelling masterpiece of revenge. Amazing action. Amazing dialogue. And when I first saw this movie it was the most shocking twist of events movie I had seen.

5. Aliens
My favorite sci-fi movie of all time. Sigourney Weaver became one of my favorite actresses after this. We got to see more than one alien and discovered that a big queen gives birth to them like they are giant bugs. The moment when Burke turns on Ripley and tries to impregnate her and Newt by locking them in a cell and releasing the facehuggers on them is both chilling and suspenseful. And you can't help but wish Burke dead. And then after you think this movie is all over Ripley discovers the Queen followed them on their escape ship and she must fight her using the exosuit. The best quotes from this movie are "They mostly come at night...mostly" and "Get away from her you bitch". All in all this is filmmaking at its absolute finest.

4. Harry Potter 1-7
I don't care what anybody says. Despite leaving out a lot of fan favorite sub plots I still feel these movies are the best book to movie adaptations of all time. The casting was on point. The music was perfect. Everything was exactly as I had imagined it to be when I read the books. Key moments that make my spine tingle are in the first one where they receive the house cup, the second one where Hermione runs to Harry and Ron in the Great Hall after being petrified. The third one when Hermione punches Malfoy. The fourth one where Harry sees Hermione walk down the stairs at the Yule Ball in a beautiful dress. And finally the 7th one where Harry and Hermione dance in their tent after Ron leaves them. I still have Post-Harry Potter Depression.

3. Titanic
This is my favorite romance of all time. No matter what I always cry when we see Rose old and likely dead lying warm in her bed just like Jack had wanted. She had accomplished so much in her lifetime and when she is finally reunited with JAck in the afterlife I can't help but cry. What's love without tragedy.

2. True Lies
Another example of perfect filmmaking. Jamie Lee Curtis exceeds in making one of the most sensual and erotic scenes of all time. Both funny and suspenseful. My favorite part is when Jamie's character drops an uzi and as it falls down the stairs it somehow shoots all the enemies by itself. Hilarious. And nothing can compare to the tango sequence at the end. I love that tango song so much because of this movie.

1. Terminator 2: Judgement Day
The best action movie of all time and my favorite movie of all time is undoubtedly Terminator 2. With one of the coldest endings as well when John has to say goodbye to the Terminator because he must terminate himself to save the future. The moment you see his hand in the lava slowly sink is personifies my fear of death. And the end where we see the camera just riding along a a black road is chilling. "The luxury of hope was given to me by the Terminator. Because if a machine can learn the value of human life, maybe we can too."
